US FIRST

NDEP sponsors middle and high school robotics teams supported by DoD lab personnel. High school teams will typically enter the annual US FIRST Robotics Competitions (FRC) or FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC). Elementary and middle school teams will typically enter the FIRST LEGO League (FLL).

The application period for 2011-2012 NDEP-sponsored robotics teams is Feb. 23, 2011 through March 31, 2011.

Our mission is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
